12 days climb to Mount Belukha, Russia 

The Belukha mountain is the most popular tourist spot at Altai and is reach in legends. Belukha is the highest peak of Siberia, which parted by "saddle"(col) into Western Belukha (4 440 m) and Eastern Belukha (4 506 m).

Day 1
– Arrive in Barnaul, the capital of Altai edge. A representative will meet you at the airport. Travel by bus to reach the base camp of Vysotnik (750 km, 10 hours). A welcome dinner.
Day 2 – Trekking Vysotnik (850 m) – mountain pass Kuzuyak (1513 m) – the Ak-kem river (1100 m). Campsite on a place Three birches . It takes 4-5 hours. Overnight is in the tents. Food is cooked on the fire.
Day 3 – Trekking Three birches – the base camp Ak-kem (1950 m). Ascent along the river to the base camp Ak-kem , the second base camp is owned by Len Alp Tours. 7-8 h.
Day 4 - Trekking the b.c.Ak-kem–the Ak-kem glacier–Tomskie Nochevki (3000 m). Ascent along the River, then the Ak-kem Lake, reach the moraine and the glacier. Overnight in tents at Tomskie Nochevki 7-8 h.
Day 5 – Ice training on the Arbuz glacier. If the weather is favourable we will have climb to the Delone mountain pass (3400 m).
Day 6 – Early start. Ascent Tomskie Nochevki - the Delone mountain pass (3400 m) - the Mensu glacier – the Berelskoye Saddle mountain pass (3520 m) - the plateau (3800 m). A snow-ice wall of mountain pass Delone is 35° - 45°. Overnight in tents on the glacier. 7-8 h.
Day 7 – Summit attempt. The start is at 6 in the morning to the Belukhinsky mountain pass (3A). Climb the pass 40°- 45°, then passing 250 metres along the ridge after 10-15 min we are at the summit. The way back is the same. 7-9 h.
Day 8 – A reserve day in case of bad weather.
Day 9 – Descend the plateau - the Mensu glacier - Tomskie nochevki – the base camp Ak-kem . Rope parties of 2-3 pax the Delone pass using at . Banya (Russian sauna).
Day 10-11 – Trekking to the b.c. Vysotnik, from which we started our trekking (possible to do it for a day depending on your fitness). Russian sauna.
Day 12 – Travel to the city of Barnaul.

ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT
The tour provides the group with: tents, cooking pots, ropes, ice screws, carbines, gas-jets, gas stoves.You should have the following items in private use: foam sleeping mat, 4 seasons sleeping bag, down jacket, woolen hat, good lightweight boots, waterproofs, rucksack for 75-100 liters.
For the ascent: helmet, plastic boots that have welt to fix crampons, harness & self belay, crampons, ice-axe, jammer, 2 ice-screws per pax, release device (eight), 3 carbines per pax, individual tin ware, sun glasses, sun-protection lotion.
It’s possible to hire part of the equipment (apart from plastic boots), it should be booked far in advance. It is strongly advisable for your safety to have your own plastic boots and crampons that perfectly match the boots.

TREK & CLIMB CONDITIONS OF THE MT. BELUKHA CLIMB
There are some days of moderate and strenuous hiking by varied landscapes and some days of mountain climbing which require good physical condition and mountaineering skills (using ropes, crampons, etc.). Mt. Belukha climb is of 3A rate (In Russian climbing route rating system the overall grade of a route is defined within a scale of 1 to 6, with subdivisions A and B). Maximum altitude drop is 1000 m a day. The trekkers carry both all their personal belongings, 6-7 kg of complete set of communal equipment (tents, cooking pots, gas) and food for 2 days. You can also hire pack horses for the luggage transportation.

MEALS
The tour provides the participants with 3 meals a day. At the base camps meals are at a cafe. On the trek the food is cooked on the open fire, on the ascent on gas by tourists themselves. Food issued, The tour can also provides vegetarian meals.
