Taroko ( Marble ) Gorge 1-Day Tour:
Taroko Marble Gorge 1-Day Tour Pick up from hotel and transfer
to the domestic Airport for flight to Hualien. Bus to Taroko
Gorge Gateway, Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Caves, Tunnel of
Nine Turns, Tienhsiang Lodge, Marble Factory, Chi Hsing Beach,
Hualien Stone and the Sculptural Park. Back to Hotel in Taipei
by train.
Prices Include air ticket from Taipei to Hualien, train ticket
from Hualien to Taipei, and lunch.
Taroko Gorge is one of the seven wonders of Asia. After a
25-minute flight from Taipei to Hualien, you will be guided
along a 12-mile stretch of highway built into awesome marble
cliffs. Your route will take you through 38 tunnels including
the Swallows Grotto, the Tunnel of Nine Turns and the Marble
Bridge of Motherly Devotion. After lunch you will visit Chi
Hsing beach and stone sculptural park.

Taipei City Tour. 3 hours morning or afternoon
Presidential building (pass by), Chiang Kai-Shek memorial hall
set in 25 hectares of gardens, graceful pavilions and ponds,
Martyrs’ Shrine showing Ming dynasty architecture and changing
of the guard, Chinese temple, national palace museum housing the
worlds largest collection of Chinese treasure and finally the
handicraft centre to buy inexpensive gifts.

Wulai Aboriginal Village. 4 hours afternoon
We drive along the scenic mountain road following a winding
river to Wulai, the authentic aborigine village and ride in
unique push-car to the top of deep ravine. This is where
aborigine girls will tell you of their lives in graceful song
and dance.

Taipei Night Tour. 3 hours evening
Tonight is the traditional Mongolian bbq dinner at a popular
downtown restaurant with a variety of meats, venison, and
vegetables with spices and seasoning. Concoct yourself and let
the cook transform the perfect dinner on a huge charcoal grill.
After dinner we visit the Lung Shan Temple and the Hwahsi night
markets, If time permits we will visit the Taipei 101
Observatory Building. The entrance fee for this will not be
included in the tour.

Northern Coast Tour. 4 hours morning
Keelung, a 40-minute drive northeast of Taipei. At Chung Cheng
Park, you can see the huge statue of the Goddess of Mercy and

Folk Arts Tour. 4 hours afternoon
Sanhsia, about 22 KM southwest to Taipei, is a bustling town
with narrow, winding streets and brick buildings at least a
century old. The main attraction is the Tsushin (Divine
Ancestor) Temple, built in honor of Sung Dynasty loyalist, Cheng
Chao-ying. This temple was in ruins at the end of World War II,
and a meticulous restoration project has been underway for some
forty years. The temple is known for its intricately carved
stone and bronze columns and statues, carved stone lions,
camphor wood
carvings, and exquisite bronze reliefs. We will visit old street
in Sanhsia, and Yingko’s pottery factory where hand painted
replicas of Ming and Ching vases are made. The narrow streets of
this small pottery town is lined with shops selling everything
from
earthenware tea sets to delicate statues.

Yangmingshan National Park and Hot Spring Tour. 4 hours afternoon
Yangmingshan, the mountainous area north of Taipei City, is
famous for its beautiful scenery with traces of volcanic
activities and abundant natural resources. Yangmingshan has
attractions to offer-flowers in spring, beautiful sky in summer,
fruits and maple leaves in autumn, as well as hot spring bathing
and snow in winter. The Tatun Mountain Range has the largest
density of hot springs in Taiwan. Among the 10 different
hot-spring locations in the area, Yangmingshan Hot Spring
belongs to the mild alkaline sulfuric hot springs. The water has
a light milky color and a temperature of about 70 degrees
centigrade. Bathing in the hot-spring water has a relaxing and
refreshing effect. It helps to relieve muscle pains, and has a
relaxing effect on the whole body.

Chiufen Village Tour. 4 hours afternoon
The Northeast coast national scenic area is noted for its
numerous capes and bays backed by green mountains. The villages
of Chiufen were once centers of gold mining in Taiwan. The gold
is gone, but these quaint old villages, built of closely-packed
houses clinging to steep mountainsides, continue to offer
enchanting scenery and fascinating glimpses into the lifestyles
of the past. We will see Pitou Cape, Nanya rock formations and
bay of two colours.

Culture Tour. 4 hours every morning except Monday
We will visit the Lin An Tai historical house and museum, Pao An
Temple, Confucius Temple (pass by), Dihua old street, a Chinese
Kung Fu show taking approximately 20 minutes, and foot massage
also approximately 20 minutes.
